“Study in UK”

Applicants must meet the following eligibility criteria to be considered for a Chevening Scholarship:

• Be a citizen of a Chevening-eligible country or territory.
• Return to your country of citizenship for a minimum of two years after your scholarship has ended.
• Have completed all components of an undergraduate degree that will enable you to gain entry onto a postgraduate programme at a UK university by the time you submit your application. This is typically equivalent to an upper second-class 2:1 honours degree in the UK but may be different depending on your course and university choice.
• Have at least two years (equivalent to 2,800 hours) of work experience.
• Apply to three different eligible UK university courses and have received an unconditional offer from one of these choices by 13 July 2023.

Applicants must adhere to the following eligibility requirements to be eligible for Scotland’s Saltire Scholarships:

• Have a conditional or unconditional offer of a place at a Scottish university on an eligible course that will be delivered physically in Scotland or via distance online learning or via a combination of both.
• Be citizens of Canada, India, Japan, USA, Pakistan, or China (Hong Kong citizens are also eligible as it is a Special Administrative Region of China).
• Demonstrate the ability to meet the costs of living in Scotland and the remaining tuition fees.
• Not have previously studied in Scotland.
• Not have previously received a Saltire Scholarship.
• Meet the language requirements of the course.
• Complete an application form and submit it by the closing date of 31 May 2022.

Applicants must demonstrate an interest in studying in Scotland and/or at a specific Scottish university, aspire to work and study in a global context, and take a position of leadership in their chosen career. They must also demonstrate a willingness and the necessary interpersonal and communication skills required to participate in the program of activities that accompanies the scholarships.

Applicants must meet the following eligibility criteria for the GREAT Scholarships:

• Come from a participating country (see above).
• Have an undergraduate degree, be motivated, and have an interest in the proposed subject area.
• Meet the English language requirement of the UK HEI.

To be eligible for the Global Wales Postgraduate scholarships, applicants must:

• Have submitted an application to study an eligible postgraduate programme at one of the Welsh Universities (see above).
• Be due to start your postgraduate programme in September 2023.
• Be classed as an overseas student for fee-paying purposes.
• Be a citizen of one of the eligible countries (see above).

Applicants must meet the following eligibility criteria to apply for Commonwealth Master’s Scholarships:

• Be a citizen of or have been granted refugee status by an eligible Commonwealth country, or be a British Protected Person.
• Be permanently resident in an eligible Commonwealth country.
• Be available to start your academic studies in the UK by the start of the UK academic year in September 2024.
• By September 2024, hold a first degree of at least upper second class (2:1) honours standard, or a second class degree and a relevant postgraduate qualification (usually a Master’s degree). The CSC would not normally fund a second UK Master’s degree. If you are applying for a second UK Master’s degree, you will need to provide justification as to why you wish to undertake this study.
• Be unable to afford to study in the UK without this scholarship.
• Have provided all supporting documentation in the required format.
