REQUIREMENTS FOR ENTRANCE:To be eligible for admission to our diploma programs, applicants must possess either an Ontario Secondary School Diploma or its equivalent, or qualify as a mature student by meeting the age requirement of 18 years and passing a superintendent-approved test. Interested individuals may contact our Admin office at 905-671-9999 for further assistance. Basic computer knowledge is preferred, and a proficient command over the English language is a must. DIPLOMA PROGRAMS FOR POST-GRADUATE STUDENTS:An undergraduate degree or diploma, or an equivalent, is mandatory for post-graduate diploma programs. A fundamental understanding of computers is desirable, and fluency in English is essential. ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS FOR PSW DIPLOMA STUDENTS:Within 30 days of program commencement, candidates must submit a fully completed medical form. Before commencing the practicum segment of the program, a valid Standard First Aid and CPR Level C certification is necessary. Additionally, possession of a police check (Vulnerable Sector Search) report within the first 30 days of the program is also required. PROFICIENCY IN THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE:CIMT College conducts all its courses in English, and thus, students must possess a strong command over the language. Those whose first language is not English must provide evidence of English proficiency by submitting their IELTS Academic Module score with an overall band of 5.5 or higher, TOEFL scores with a minimum of 80 (online) or 550 (paper-based), MELAB scores with a minimum of 80 out of 100, PTE (Academic) scores with an aggregate of at least 50, or a certificate attesting three years of full-time education in an English-medium educational institution. Authentic documentation, such as a transcript or a letter from the said institution, must be furnished during the examination process.
