Eligibility of CQ University
The participation requirements for Central Queensland University's academic programmes vary based on the level of study. For admission to the Diploma programme, applicants must have completed an Australian Certificate IV or an equivalent qualification. For those who have completed high school in Australia, a minimum score of 55% in four academic subjects is required. For students from other boards, a minimum of 60% in four academic subjects is required.
For admission to Bachelor's programmes, a high school qualification from Australia is equivalent to Australian Class 12. Applicants from CBSE, ISC, West Bengal, and Maharashtra boards must have a minimum of 60% in four academic subjects. For students from other boards, a minimum of 65% in four academic subjects is required.
International applicants seeking admission to Postgraduate Coursework programmes must have a Bachelor's degree from a recognized institution that is equivalent to an Australian Bachelor's degree. The minimum score required is equivalent to an Australian pass grade average in the final two terms.
Proficiency in English is also required for international applicants. They can demonstrate this by submitting scores from recognized English language proficiency tests like IELTS, TOEFL iBT, PTE Academic, or CAE/CPE. The minimum required scores are as follows: IELTS Academic 6.5 overall with a minimum of 6.0 in each section, TOEFL iBT 79 with a minimum of 21 in each section, PTE Academic 62 with a minimum of 54 in each section, and CAE/CPE 176 with a minimum of 169 in each band.
