Eligibility of Trinity College Dublin, the University of Dublin

All applicants must have a demonstrated command of the English language. The following qualifications are accepted: 1. Irish Leaving Certificate: a minimum score of 6 in ordinary level English. 2. GCSE: a grade of C or higher in English Language. 3. US High School: a C grade or higher in senior year English. A minimum of 6.5 on the IELTS (academic version) with no individual band score below 6 is required. For dental courses, a minimum of 7 on the IELTS (academic version) with no individual band score below 7 is required. For Clinical Speech and Language Studies, a minimum of 7 on the IELTS (academic version) with no individual band score below 7 is required. A minimum score of 63 on the Pearson Test of English (Academic) - PTE Academic with no score below 59 in the Communication Skills section is required. A minimum of 5 at Higher Level on English A1, A2, or B and a minimum of 4 at Standard Level when presenting IB through English are accepted from the International Baccalaureate program.
