Eligibility of University of Cambridge

Cambridge University values examinations with a great deal of significance due to their stringent academic criteria. The eligibility criteria may vary for undergraduate and graduate degree programs. For Undergraduate programs, Indian students are required to have outstanding grades in their 12th board exams, but that alone may not suffice. However, the following additions can increase their chances of getting admission: A rank under 2000 in the IIT JEE (Advanced) (For courses such as Chemical Engineering, Engineering, and Natural Sciences (Physical)), and in certain subjects like Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering and Economics, candidates may be required to take an additional STEP exam. Scoring grade 5 or above in more than five College Board Advanced Placement exams can also enhance their chances. English Language proficiency is also a vital requirement, where candidates must provide proof of the following scores: IELTS Academic1 - with a minimum grade of 7.5 and typically 7.0 or above in each section, or TOEFL Internet Based Test (IBT) - with a minimum score of 110, and at least 25 in each section.
