1. Every individual, domestic and international, seeking admission to a course must be evaluated to ensure that their proficiency in the English language is adequate for admission. This evaluation must adhere to the guidelines and criteria outlined in Schedule A of this Policy.
2. The English proficiency of an applicant can be assessed by an approved English language test or by providing proof of living and functioning in an English-speaking environment for a considerable period of time.
3. Only the most recent English proficiency evaluation of an applicant will be considered, in cases where multiple tests have been taken.
4. A course advisor may require an additional English proficiency test to determine the suitability of an applicant for admission to a course.
To be eligible for admission to a course of study, an applicant must fulfill the following requirements:
a) Meet the minimum academic standards stated in the relevant Regulation and Determinations for the specific course.
b) Satisfy the English language proficiency requirements of this Policy, as well as any other language requirements necessary for admission to the desired course.
c) Demonstrate ability to successfully complete the course.
d) Agree to adhere to the University of Divinity Code of Conduct.
e) Have attained a minimum age of 18 years.
