Eligibility of University of North Dakota

The submitted application will not be accepted unless you can prove that you possess the necessary skills in both written and spoken English to excel in University courses taught exclusively in English. In order to be considered for admission, all non-native English speakers must take this examination. The designated institution code for the University of North Dakota is 6878. The following are the minimum required scores for undergraduate studies: For the TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language): 525 for the paper-based test (PBT), 195 for the computer-based test (CBT), and 71 for the internet-based test (iBT). All test results must be directly sent to the University of North Dakota's Undergraduate Admissions Office. A minimum score of 6.0 is required for the IELTS (International English Language Testing System). The results for the IELTS must be within the last three years to be considered valid by UND. If the scores are older than two years, the test must be retaken in order to be accepted. Other accepted tests and corresponding minimum scores include 95 for the Duolingo English Test, 50 for the PTE Academic (Pearson Test of English Academic), or completion of ELS Language Centers' Intensive Level 112, which will provide a certificate from the College Entrance Exam Board.
