Eligibility of University of North Florida

The following information pertains to applications from non-citizens and non-permanent residents of the United States for admission to a university. These applicants will be considered equally to citizens and permanent residents, but it is recommended that they submit their materials as soon as possible due to potential processing delays and distance constraints. It is important to note that most students in the United States apply for university admission at least a year in advance. For international applicants, UNF will accept a limited number of transcripts without requiring a foreign evaluation if they meet certain criteria. However, for all other transcripts, a course-by-course evaluation or document-by-document GPA calculation is required by an approved third-party credential evaluation firm, as stated by the Florida Department of Education. Proficiency in the English language is a necessary requirement for all applicants, unless English is the only official language in their country. Please refer to "Indicators of Required English Language Proficiency for Foreign Applicants" for a list of acceptable methods for meeting this standard. During the admissions process, students must submit official test scores that correspond to their desired level of study: undergraduate or graduate. Undergraduate applicants must take either the ACT or SAT, with the required score determined by their high school grade point average. For the SAT, a minimum score of 460 in Critical Reading and Math is necessary, while for the rSAT, a minimum score of 500 in Evidence-based Reading and Writing and Math is required. In comparison, a minimum score of 18 in English, 19 in Reading, and 19 in Math is necessary for the ACT. For graduate applicants, GMAT or GRE scores are required, depending on the specific program they are applying to. A minimum score of 20 for the verbal component and 22 for the quantitative component is necessary for the GMAT. Applicants to the Master of Accountancy and Master of Business Administration programs must have a minimum score of 500. As for the GRE, scores must be provided for any graduate degree other than Business or Health Administration. The required score varies by department, but having a total score above 1000 (verbal and quantitative components combined) will increase competitiveness.
