Our students have access to state-of-the-art technologies and facilities, including a Merlin MP521 flight simulator, a full-scale Jetstream 31 airliner, healthcare suites, crime scene houses, and TV studios. In the most recent Research Excellence Framework, our university's research has been rated as internationally excellent or world-leading, with our social policy and criminology research ranking 8th in the UK and sports and exercise science research ranking 15th worldwide. Our four key research areas are Health And Well-Being, Crime, Security And Justice, Sustainable Environment, and Creative Industries And Digital Economy. To support our students, we offer a variety of bursaries and scholarships, such as the USW Welsh Scholarship 2022-23, USW Gwent Scholarship 2022-23, and USW Sport Scholarships and Bursaries 2022-23.
