Eligibility of University of Stirling
The eligibility criteria for participation at the university are determined by specific programmes and courses. In addition, there are general qualifications that applicants must meet, based on the country where their education was completed. For instance, Indian students must meet the following basic standards to be considered for admission:
Undergraduate Admissions:
- A cumulative score of 65% in Grade 12 is required for direct admission into the first year of an undergraduate programme.
- For advanced enrollment into the second year of an undergraduate course, a minimum of 75% in Grade 12 is necessary.
- Admissions to the second year of undergraduate programmes also require a score of 35 in the International Baccalaureate (IB) or A-Levels with grades ABB.
Postgraduate Admissions:
- Top-tier universities such as the University of Delhi, University of Mumbai, and University of Calcutta, typically have an average requirement of 50%.
- Tier-2 universities require a minimum score of 55%.
English Language Requirements:
Non-native English speaking international students must provide proof of their proficiency in English. The following exams are accepted by the institution, apart from UKVI approved SELT exams (including 'IELTS for UKVI'):
Undergraduate:
- Students who scored 70% or above in English in Grade 12 within the last 5 years, from the below-mentioned exam boards, are exempt from submitting English proficiency tests:
