In 1979, Sarina Russo founded "The Office" Business Academy, a pioneering institution that focused on secretarial training and offered the industry's first-ever student job placement program. Building on this success, in 1980, she established "The Office" International College, a destination for international students seeking English language classes and study tour programs.
As Sarina's business endeavors continued to flourish, in 1987 she relocated her activities to the bustling heart of Brisbane City, specifically her own high-rise building, Sarina Russo Centre - 82 Ann Street. Five years later, in 1992, Russo Institute of Technology Australia was launched, offering an array of English, Business, Information Technology, and Hotel and Tourism programs.
In 1998, Sarina's entrepreneurial spirit and dedication to advancing education earned her a major government contract to own and manage 31 "Job Network" offices throughout Australia, which were later established as Sarina Russo Job Access Australia. In 2000, this organization relocated its headquarters to Sarina Russo Plaza, a building that Sarina had recently purchased and renovated to suit its needs.
As the company continued to expand, Sarina acquired her third high-rise skyscraper in Brisbane City, Sarina Russo River Centre - 100 Eagle Street, to serve as its national headquarters. In 2017, she announced the formation of Sarina Russo Schools | Australia, a comprehensive education provider that includes Russo English | Australia, Russo College | Australia (a popular pathway to university program), Russo School of Hotel and Tourism | Australia, and Russo Institute | Australia, cementing the company's reputation as a premier provider of English language and university preparation courses.
In line with our commitment to promoting education, Russo English | Australia launched the Bridging English Admission Program (BEEP) in 2019, offering a direct entry English qualification program for students interested in pursuing higher education.
