University Ranking

The University of Essex, situated in Colchester, United Kingdom, was established in 1964. It is a renowned public research institute, ranking among the top 100 universities in the UK as per various international rating agencies. However, in recent years, its global stance has slightly declined. According to QS and US News Best Global Rankings 2023, the University of Essex has dropped to 465 and 633 positions, respectively. Similarly, in the Times Higher Education rankings, it has slipped from 251-300 in 2018 to 301-350 in 2023. Despite this decline, it continues to maintain a strong position among the best universities in the UK, securing the 49th spot. Eligibility of University of Essex

Academic Criteria: For Undergraduate: A typical undergraduate program will consider the top four subjects from Indian high school diplomas, accounting for about 60% of the total score. If the student has achieved a minimum of 70% in English from CBSE or CISCE exam board qualifications, they may not need to take a separate English language test. For Postgraduate Taught Programs: Most postgraduate taught masters will evaluate applicants with a Bachelor's degree from a Band 1 or Band 2 university with a minimum score of 50% or 5.3/10. For other schools, a minimum score of 55% or 5.8/10 is required. For Postgraduate Research: Applicants for PhD programs must have an undergraduate degree equivalent to a UK 2:2 and a master's degree with a high grade.
