Eligibility of University of St Andrews
The following information pertains to the admission requirements for undergraduate and postgraduate programs at St. Andrews University, starting from the 2023-24 academic year. To ensure a competitive application, applicants are advised to submit their applications by 30 November, following the steps outlined below:
- Select a course and ensure that the admission requirements are met or are on track to be met.
- Familiarize yourself with the application process by referring to the applicant guide.
Postgraduate applicants are expected to possess a good second division (2.1) or first division UK Bachelor's degree with Honours, or its overseas equivalent in a relevant field. A typical Indian degree with a first-class grade range of 60% to 80% (minimum) or 7.0-9.0 CGPA (depending on the attended educational institution) will also be considered.
All applicants must demonstrate proficiency in the English language as it is crucial for success at St. Andrews. To prove English proficiency, the university accepts various language exams and qualifications. If the applicant has studied in a non-English speaking country, or speaks English as a second language, their application should also include information about their level of English proficiency.
