The following is information regarding admission requirements for degree programs at this institution. Meeting these requirements is crucial for being accepted into your desired courses. To be eligible, you must meet the following academic criteria: You must be at least 21 years old on the first day of classes, have a clean academic record, and exhibit potential for success through previous achievements. For degree programs, a high school diploma with 30 credits or equivalent is necessary, along with six 4U or 4M level courses. Some programs may also have additional prerequisite course requirements. To meet our language competency standards, you must fulfill at least one of these criteria: Have completed three full years of secondary school English in a country where English is the primary language (four years for BScN, Pharmacy Technician, and Addictions: Treatment and Prevention, if studying in Canada). OR completed a full year of postsecondary English study in a country where English is the primary language (not applicable to BScN, Pharmacy Technician, and Addictions: Treatment and Prevention). OR received an Ontario Secondary School Diploma or Canadian provincial equivalent from a public or Catholic school board, including an English credit (not applicable to BScN, Pharmacy Technician, and Addictions: Treatment and Prevention). OR provide evidence of completing one of our approved partner school route programs (not applicable to BScN or Pharmacy Technician). Placements

Georgian University offers various programmes in Health, Wellness and Sciences, Human Services, and Community Safety. These programmes require students to complete practical courses and gain valuable experience in real-life settings. To ensure students meet their learning outcomes, our placement offices are responsible for organizing placement opportunities and managing the pre-placement requirements. Health, Wellness and Sciences students will work with our partner, Synergy Gateway, to undergo a thorough pre-placement process. Synergy Gateway will grant students access to "Verified," a secure software platform, through which they can schedule a permit check, upload necessary documents and track their clinical placement eligibility status. Here are the steps that students must follow: Step 1: Complete the required pre-placement paperwork The Clinical Preparedness Permit Information Package contains detailed information on each requirement, including any exceptions specific to your programme. Step 2: Schedule a permit check appointment with Synergy Gateway During this appointment, all medical and non-medical needs will be reviewed and verified. Students must upload all necessary documents to their Synergy Gateway profile before the appointment. It is their responsibility to regularly update this information and ensure its security. Forms and placement requirements must be completed and submitted by the student to the respective programme. All documents must be submitted before registration to guarantee placement and participation in field and clinical placements. Please note that the college is not liable for any issues that may arise and students will not be refunded if they are unable to gain placement due to incomplete or incorrect documentation.
