Eligibility of Pittsburg State University

From an authorized secondary school, graduates are required to meet the following criteria to be automatically admitted: They must have a minimum of 2.25 GPA on a 4.0 scale to qualify for graduation. OR They must achieve a composite ACT score of 21 or higher (SAT score of 1060 or higher). Additionally, they must have completed the Kansas precollege curriculum (or the appropriate state precollege curriculum for non-residents) with a minimum 2.0 GPA (2.5 for non-residents). Alternatively, they can fulfill one of the following requirements: - Obtaining a composite ACT score of 21 or higher (or SAT score of 1060 or higher) OR - Ranking in the top one-third of their graduating class (if applicable) Also, they must have a minimum 2.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale on all transferable college credits. The precollege curriculum in Kansas consists of: - 4 English classes - 4 units of Math (no less than Algebra I will be accepted) OR - 3 units of Math and a minimum score of 22 on the ACT Math test OR - 1 unit of Math by earning 3 college credits in College Algebra - 3 units of Natural Science (including 1 unit of Chemistry or Physics).
