Eligibility of University of Prince Edward Island

Please note that in order to be eligible for your desired courses, you must satisfy the academic and English proficiency score criteria outlined below. Undergraduate: To be admitted, you must meet specific academic and English language proficiency standards, as follows: Academic Requirements: It is essential to achieve a minimum of 70% in five academic disciplines. Required documents include mark sheets for the Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (CISCE), the All Indian Secondary School Certificate (CBSE), or the Indian School Certificate (CISCE). Some courses may also require SAT scores. English Requirements: If you are an international student from a non-English speaking nation (such as India), you must provide evidence of language proficiency through one of the standardised English exam scores listed below. Graduate: Admission to graduate programs is contingent upon meeting the following academic and English language proficiency criteria: Academic Requirements: A bachelor's degree from a recognised institution or college is mandatory. Placements

The Family Science and Child and Family Studies programmes offer students the chance to apply their knowledge and skills through community-based learning experiences in the third and fourth years. Starting in the third year, students will have the opportunity to complete a 32-hour field placement with a community agency during the fall semester as part of Family Science 381: Professional Practice with Children and Families. This placement will allow students to gain practical experience in a real-world setting. In the following semester, students will work together with a small group of classmates to design and implement a family education programme in collaboration with community organizations as part of Family Science 382: Program Planning and Evaluation. During the final year of the programme, students will participate in a more extensive field placement for 80 hours per semester (approximately one day per week) from September to April. This final placement will serve as a capstone experience, allowing students to integrate theory and practice in a supportive and secure environment. This hands-on approach to learning will provide students with valuable skills and experiences to prepare them for careers in working with children and families.
