Eligibility of Georgian College - Owen Sound
Georgian College has specific prerequisites for students looking to enrol in classes. Age and academic requirements must be met in order to be accepted into postsecondary programs. Those who are at least 19 years old but do not meet the academic prerequisites can still apply as mature applicants, with each application being individually evaluated. A high school diploma and 30 credits are required for entry into postsecondary programs, with certain programs having additional prerequisite classes. Students can also be admitted on a probationary basis for programs that only require English and/or math prerequisites, but they must maintain a minimum grade point average to graduate.
For degree programs, students must be at least 21 years old by the first day of classes and demonstrate the ability to succeed in degree studies. An undergraduate or advanced degree is necessary for admission to graduate certificate programs.
Part-time students who wish to transition to full-time studies must apply through ontariocolleges.ca and meet the standard admissions process.
